Utilising the power of football to teach values to Australian school children, the pilot program features PFA members in the role of 'in class' mentors to students aged 13 - 15.
The PFA Mentors spend 8 sessions with participating students and work on developing values that include respect, fair play, teamwork, playing by the rules and leadership.
The Heroes program has received excellent feedback from students, teachers and mentors. The PFA is now seeking to expand the program to enable more PFA members to fulfil these important mentoring roles in other areas of our community.

The PFA is delighted to announce, with the support of LUCRF. the nominees for the PFA Footballer of the Year, the PFA Harry Kewell Medal and the inaugural PFA Women's Footballer of the Year.
The winners will be announced at the Australian Football Awards on Thursday 7 October in Sydney.
