The PFA aims to deliver world-class standards of administration within a member-based organisation by deeply engaging current and former players in the PFA’s affairs and the wellbeing of the game, providing outstanding standards of service delivery and being at the cutting edge of the policy and strategy of football.

Events

2021 PFA Agents Conference

The PFA holds an annual Agents Conference for Australian player agents and leading experts from the football industry. The Conference, held in partnership with the Australian Football Agents Association (AFAA), provides an opportunity for accredited player agents to participate in a series of workshops and presentations in areas of critical importance to professional players both on and off the pitch.

The 2021 Conference covered a variety of topics impacting both agents and the management of professional players, including:

The International Transfer Market;
Training compensation;
An overview of the Australian Professional Leagues’ vision and strategy;
Summary of the A-Leagues Collective Bargaining Negotiations;
Presentations on mental health in footballers, online abuse in Australian football; and the latest research on concussion and heading in football.

Player Awards

The PFA player awards and recognition program acknowledges the outstanding achievements of PFA members. The program rewards members who have achieved on-field excellence, excelled in areas away from the field of play, contributed to other areas of Australian football or made contributions to fellow professionals that have transformed the career paths enjoyed by the footballers of today.
