From the Co-Presidents
Jackson Irvine & Tameka YallopThis Annual Report highlights the depth of support the PFA provides to professional players throughout their careers.
Every aspect of this work, whether legal guidance, education and development opportunities, financial assistance, or career transition support, has a meaningful impact on each player it reaches.
Players have also made clear that the game needs stronger foundations, higher standards and a long-term plan that protects their careers and supports the sport's growth.
To meet this moment, the PFA has launched a new strategy focused on one central goal: securing the professional game.
In the coming months, the organisation will release two player visions for the A-League Women and A-League Men, aimed at reinvigorating and strengthening our domestic competitions.
The global football landscape is shifting quickly, and Australia must keep pace. Strong domestic leagues are the backbone of any successful football nation, and safeguarding the competitiveness and professionalism of our competitions is essential.
Crucially, players must have a genuine voice in the decisions that shape their careers and the future of the sport. They understand the realities of the game better than anyone, and their insight is vital to its progress.
Unlocking the potential of the Leagues will help ensure the next generation of girls and boys see football as a viable and respected career.
Looking ahead, the PFA will continue to champion a stable professional environment, stronger competitions and better support for every player.
Our members remain united, determined and clear about what the game needs. Thank you to all players for your leadership and trust.
Together, we will keep driving Australian football toward a stronger future.
Thanks
