Australian players all have unique stories to tell and podcasts provide the perfect platform for players to share their voice on matters impacting the game they play, or share their personal experiences on and off the pitch.
Through the PFA’s own podcast, Footballers’ Voice, players have shared diverse stories and experiences of playing the world game. Other platforms, such as the ABC’s The Grandstand Football Pod, Shim, Spider and So Much Moore and the Unlaced Podcast also unearth interesting perspectives from players.
On the latest episode of the ABC’s Grandstand Football podcast, hosted by former player Robbie Cornthwaite and journalist Daniel Garb, PFA Executive Ziggy Gordon speaks about his interest in chess and the A-League season so far since making the switch from Central Coast Mariners to the Wanderers.
On The Unlaced Podcast, Sydney FC’s Rhyan Grant chats with former professional footballer and former teammate, Jake Barker-Daish, on his podcast which explores the human side of athletes.
On Spider, Shim and Much Much Moore, Simon Hill, Zeljko Kalac and Craig Moore chat with the Socceroos’ Martin Boyle, who recounts the reaction to his first Socceroos’ selection.
