Professional Footballers Australia (the PFA) is pleased to announce SportsFX has extended its partnership as the organisation’s Official Currency Exchange partner for the next three years.

SportsFX will continue to provide support for Australian footballers playing overseas to help them navigate the intricacies of international financial transactions.

PFA Chief Executive Beau Busch welcomed the partnership extension and SportFX’s continued support of PFA members.

“There are many aspects of a players’ professional career that they must navigate, and international money transfers remain one of the most complex.

“To have SportsFX’s support and expertise will give many players peace of mind when transferring money between accounts and countries.”

SportsFX founder Chris Broadfoot said the partnership extension provided an ongoing opportunity to help PFA members with financial transactions and increase financial literacy among players.

“I’m incredibly proud to continue the partnership with the PFA and support their members across every stage of their careers — from emerging national team players to senior internationals, and across both the A-League Men’s and Women’s competitions.

“Over the past few years, we’ve helped dozens of players and coaches transfer prize money, protect overseas earnings, and move their funds home safely and strategically. With more young Australian players earning international moves, and many returning home or shifting between countries, having a smart currency strategy in place has never been more important.

“Through national camp presentations, webinars, and blog education, I’ve worked closely with the PFA to empower players with financial knowledge that can make a real difference over time. It’s a partnership I’m extremely proud of and one that reflects our shared commitment to protecting players, on and off the pitch.”

Many Australian players have used their services during their time playing overseas and international players whilst playing in the A-Leagues.

““Chris and I worked together for a few years while I was playing overseas and Sports FX helped me save money for my future.,” said Matt Jurman, who has played professionally in the A-Leagues, Greece, Saudi Arabia and South Korea.

“A lot of players wouldn’t have even know how much you can save using Chris and his services so to have him available, everyone playing abroad should definitely benefit using Chris and I can’t vouch for him enough on how easy he made the process.”

In a further boost to the partnership, SportsFX will be a support partner for the PFA’s Team of the Season, which will see their branding included in all associated content until 2028.

The peer-voted PFA Teams of the Season have been an annual tradition since 2009 and have been revealed annually during the A-Leagues Finals Series.

At the end of each season, PFA members from both the A-League Men and A-League Women are asked to vote on their best XI, with the composition of the team based on the number of votes tallied for each player in their respective position.

The player who receives the most votes is named the Captain of the Team.
