Building a Nation of Professional Footballers

Now available on the PFA website (in the Technical Area) is the PFA’s submission to the Elite Development Project Team convened by Football Federation Australia.

Titled “Building a Nation of Footballers”, the PFA focused on the key area of establishing a quality career path for Australian footballers. This included addressing matters such as growing the depth of talent in Australian football, the integration between youth development and professional opportunities in the A-League and overseas, developing a genuine second tier competition for the presently disengaged players pursuing professional careers, increasing employment opportunities in the A-League and appointing a world respected National Technical Director who will ensure ongoing development of Australian coaches and the best intelligence is concentrated with the FFA.
