Professional Footballers Australia (PFA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Matt McKay as PFA President.
The Socceroos midfielder was announced by PFA Chief Executive Adam Vivian today as the successor to former President Simon Colosimo following a vote by the PFA Executive Committee.
With the two-time A-League Championship and Premiership winner set to assume the role with immediate effect, McKay’s appointment follows the retirement of Colosimo who stood down last week after ten years at the helm.
Having served on the PFA Executive since 2012 McKay will assume his full term as President following the Annual General Meeting, which will take place in November this year.
