Chris Herd was missing due to injury for Aston Villa’s 3-2 win over Everton. Mark Schwarzer was an unused substitute for Leicester City as they beat Newcastle United 3-0. Curtis Good was missing for Newcastle due to injury. Mile Jedinak was an unused substitute as Crystal Palace lost 1-0 to Chelsea.

Rhys Williams was missing due to injury as Middlesbrough drew 0-0 with Brighton & Hove Albion. Adam Taggart and Ryan Williams were not in the squad for Fulham in their 4-2 loss to Norwich City. Adam Federici played a full match and kept a clean sheet as Reading beat Derby County 3-0.
