Professional Footballers Australia is excited to announce the appointment of Adelaide United’s Dylan Holmes to the PFA Executive.

Holmes fills a vacant role on the Executive after serving as a long-time PFA delegate during her tenure in the A-League Women with the Reds.

“It’s an incredible honour to be appointed to the Executive,” Holmes said.

“Throughout my career, I have always felt like I wanted to try to leave the game in a better place than what I found it and leave it in a place where young girls coming through have the best experience possible.

“To be part of the Executive, I can hopefully continue that and work with some really incredible people to ensure the game continues to grow and thrive.”

The Adelaide midfielder has been involved in several A-League Women CBA negotiations, and her appointment reiterates the players’ commitment to shaping the A-Leagues competitions. Holmes complements the strong group of National Team and domestic representatives on the board.

Holmes joins Jackson Irvine, Mat Ryan, Elise Kellond-Knight, Andrew Redmayne, Jack Hingert, Tameka Yallop, Clare Hunt, PFA Chair Francis Awaritefe, and Co-Chief Executives Kathryn Gill and Beau Busch on the Executive.

“Dylan’s appointment to the PFA Executive is a testament to the high regard in which she is held by her peers,” Gill said.

“Dylan has been instrumental in the growth and development of the A-League Women, and her leadership on the PFA Executive will continue to drive positive change, ensuring that players’ voices are heard and their rights protected.”

Holmes joins Clare Hunt as the two newest members of the PFA Executive, after Natasha Rigby stood down from her position following her retirement from the professional game at the conclusion of the 2023-24 A-League Women’s season.
