On 5 September 2008, the PFA launched the PFA PwC Business Scholarship further highlighting our commitment to supporting, recognising and contributing to the professional and personal development of players both on and off the field.
The PFA PwC Business Scholarship has been designed in partnership with PricewaterhouseCoopers to assist with the significant planning required to successfully start a business.
The PFA PwC Business Scholarship will be awarded to a PFA member who is serious about starting a business and is ready to take these plans to the next level. The successful footballer will receive world class consultancy services with a dedicated PwC Management Team to the value of $20,000 over a 12 month period.
The scholarship winner will attend an initial face to face meeting to initiate their business plans, followed by quarterly meetings (2 hours in duration) to discuss business performance and operations. Additional time will also be allocated each quarter for preparation and follow up.
