Professional Footballers Australia (PFA) can confirm that the appeal filed by Brisbane Roar regarding Luke Brattan’s termination of his Standard Player Contract has been dismissed.
As a result of the decision by the appeal panel yesterday evening, Brattan is free to sign with the club of his choice, effective immediately.
“The club repeatedly breached Luke’s contract by failing to pay his superannuation and the decision once again confirms this,” said PFA Chief Executive Adam Vivian.
“Non-payment of player entitlements is simply unacceptable and this is the consequence of a club failing to meet its obligations to a player.”
