Many of our members would have witnessed – or have been directly impacted by – the severe and devastating weather in Queensland and New South Wales in February and early March. The weather has caused widespread flooding, catastrophic damage across the states, destruction of many football facilities and have, tragically, claimed the lives of 12 people.

Whether it be in response to the disastrous nation-wide bush fires in 2019 and 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic, the PFA and the players have played their part to assist in any way we can.

The PFA is committed to playing a small but important role in the recovery efforts in Queensland and New South Wales by providing a platform for members to donate to flood relief through our charitable arm, Footballers’ Trust, if members wish to do so.

Donating money is the fastest way to get people the support they need on the ground. Through this platform we will create a group donation on behalf of PFA Members with all contributions – whether $5 or $10, or more – going towards the total commitment from the PFA.

The PFA will work with the Football Queensland and Football Northern NSW to ensure that all money raised goes directly to those who need it the most and help get clubs across these regions back on their feet.

Finally, if you have been affected by the floods, the PFA is here to support you in any way we can.

Thank you,

Beau and Kate
