The PFA would like to wish all Australian professional footballers and their families a Merry Christmas and the very best for 2008, both on and off the field.

2007 has been a year of important progress for Australian football,” PFA Executive Chairman Brendan Schwab said today. “During the year, the game successfully entrenched the historic reforms of recent years, and promised more, especially in the vital area of football development. 2007 has also been an important year for the PFA, in which we made tremendous progress in the pursuit of 7 important goals aimed at building the quality of the playing career path and, in turn, the long term international competitiveness of Australian football.”

The PFA today wrote to all members outlining the organisation’s progress in 2007. To read the PFA’s letter, click here.
