The PFA is thrilled to announce MGI Australasia (“MGI”) as its inaugural First XI partner.

The overarching purpose of The First XI is to establish and implement a PFA Hardship and Education Fund for our membership while providing businesses with an opportunity to forge a deeper engagement with Australia’s elite footballers.

MGI is a well respected Australasian association which is perfectly positioned to meet the needs of Australia’s professional footballers, both in Australia and overseas.

MGI will be the PFA’s preferred provider of accounting and taxation services and will work with the PFA in the development of an education program for all players within this area of expertise.

“The partnership with MGI is a crucial one within the broad area of financial services as the PFA will be able to provide high quality information and advice to its members, many of whom have complex needs in these areas” PFA Executive Chairman, Brendan Schwab said.

“The Hardship and Education Fund allows the PFA to assist current and former members to maximise the quality of opportunities available to them during and after their careers”.

MGI Boyd Managing Director, Joff Macleod said that “MGI are thrilled to be involved with this exciting initiative developed by the PFA. It is a great opportunity for our Australasian association to become more involved in supporting the PFA membership”.

The PFA is looking forward to working closely with MGI Boyd over the next 2 years and the opportunity to provide increasingly valuable advice to its membership.
