The Uruguayan took just 76 games to notch 50 goals, beating the 79 games it took the previous joint record holders Besart Berisha and Shane Smeltz.

Meanwhile, Brisbane Roar’s Tameka Yallop also brought up a milestone of her own on the weekend, scoring her 50th goal for Brisbane Roar in the W-League, after netting in Thursday’s loss to Melbourne Victory. Yallop is just the third W-League player to score 50 goals for one club, alongside Sam Kerr for Perth Glory and Michelle Heyman for Canberra United.

Also in the W-League, Melbourne City skipper Steph Catley made her 50th appearance in the W-League in Sunday’s win over Canberra, while young gun Princess Ibini also brought up 50 appearances.

After a glut of W-League debuts last week, there were a few more fresh faces over the weekend. Brisbane Roar duo Rylee Baisden and Claire Farrington made their debuts after both joining the club in the off season from the Queensland NPLW.

Lastly, Serbian striker Milica Mijatovic scored her first ever goal in the W-League after claiming the opener for Melbourne City against Canberra United on Sunday.
