Two of Melbourne City’s players enjoyed personal milestones during the Round 14 draw with Brisbane Roar on Saturday.

Lachlan Wales hit half a century of matches in the A-League, commencing the match in City’s starting XI and logging his 50th appearance in the league during Saturday’s encounter.

The 22-year-old forward featured in 11 senior matches for Central Coast Mariners between 2017-2018 before joining Melbourne City where he has featured in 39 games for the City Blue across two seasons.

In a see-sawing match in which Roar went ahead twice through Braden Inman, Tasmanian Nathaniel Atkinson celebrated scoring his first senior goal for City with a stunning long-range strike to draw City level at 2-2.

In Perth, Adelaide United’s Michael Marrone notched his 150 match for the South Australian outfit, while his teammate Jordan Elsey made his 100th appearance in all competitions for the club.

Despite losing 2-0 against Wellington Phoenix, Western Sydney Wanderers academy product Ali Auglah made his A-League debut as a late substitute for Kwame Yeboah.

In the W-League, Leah Davidson scored her first goal for Brisbane Roar, with a tidy finish against the Wanderers, while Alira Toby netted a brace as Roar ran rampant in a 4-0 win in her 50th match in the W-League.

While in action for the national team, Nicholas D’Agostino scored his second Olyroos brace against Thailand, following up his feat against South Korea in the previous phase of qualifying.
