After playing his 300th A-League match last month, Nikolai Topor-Stanley celebrated another milestone on the weekend, with his 150th appearance for the Newcastle Jets against Melbourne City on Saturday evening. Topor-Stanley sits second behind Ben Kantarovski (191 matches) in the all-time Jets player appearance list.

Ella Mastrantonio joined the 100 club on the weekend as the Wanderers downed Perth Glory 3-1 on Sunday afternoon to keep themselves within touching distance of Melbourne City on the W-League table.

In his 50th A-League appearance, Ryan Strain put in a full shift on Friday evening for Adelaide United, the Reds holding out against a determined Melbourne Victory.

Meanwhile, there were a few debuts in both the A-League and W-League over the weekend.

Manchester City’s new signing Markel Susaeta made his debut off the bench after joining the club last week.

Also making his A-League debut was 20-year-old Western United defender Oskar Dillon who played the full match in United’s 3-0 win against Central Coast.

In the W-League, two goalkeepers made their debut in the Western Sydney v Perth match with Courtney Newbon playing in place of the injured Abby Smith, while Morgan Aquino played 45 minutes off the bench after first choice keeper Eliza Campbell suffered a head knock.
