The PFA would like to congratulate the Newcastle Jets on their win 1-0 over the Central Coast Mariners in the A-League Grand Final on Sunday.

Newcastle captain, Jade North lifted the Jet’s inaugural trophy after PFA Executive Member, Ante Covic kept a clean sheet and Mark Bridge scored the solitary goal in the second half.

The PFA further congratulates Jets defender, Andrew Durante on winning the Joe Marston Medal, as the best player of the Grand Final. This marks an amazing turnaround of events for Andrew, who suffered a broken leg in the first ever meeting between the two sides in 2005.
