Having scored 78 goals between them, Professional Footballers Australia (PFA) is pleased to announce the forward nominees for PFA A-League Team of the Season.

Dominated by Melbourne Victory and Melbourne City players, the six nominees polled the highest votes from the PFA’s A-League based members.

The 2015/16 PFA A-League Team of the Season forward nominees are:

Having broken the A-League goal scoring record for a single season for an Australian, Maclaren said he was delighted to be named amongst the six nominees.

“To be selected by your peers as amongst the leading forwards in the competition is a huge honour,” said Maclaren.

“The quality on display week-in-week-out in the A-League this season has been of the highest standard and the nominees have all played a big part in this.

“I’d like to congratulate all the nominees on their fantastic seasons.”
