Professional Footballers Australia (PFA) is pleased to announce the Dylan Tombides Foundation, DT38, as the official charity partner for the PFA A-League Team of the Decade Gala event.

Established following the tragic death of the Young Socceroo the DT38 foundation was founded to provide testicular cancer support and awareness through education and opportunity.

With Dylan having been such a hugely popular figure amongst his Young Socceroo teammates PFA Chief Executive Adam Vivian said the players were delighted to be able support the DT38 Foundation.

“Dylan was someone that was extremely respected by all his teammates and is hugely missed,” said Vivian. “As we have seen already with the national teams promoting the foundation this is a cause that is extremely close to the hearts of all our members.

“Our hope is that this can become the first step in a long term relationship with the DT38 Foundation, with the PFA and the players committed to assisting in any way possible.”

Dylan’s mother Tracy Tombides said the DT38 foundation was pleased to be partnering with the players for the PFA A-League Team of the Decade event.

“We are delighted to be joining forces with the PFA,” said Mrs Tombides. “It is our aim together to raise awareness and provide education about Testicular Cancer, a disease that if misdiagnosed or ignored is deadly.

“Dylan’s story is one of inspiration and although his passing has left a void that no one can fill, partnerships such as the PFA and DT38 will ensure that his tragic death will serve as an education for self awareness and early detection.”
