OAKBERRY, the global açaí brand with over 600 shops worldwide, has partnered with Professional Footballers Australia (the PFA) to become the official naming rights partner of the 2023 Players’ Awards.

Partnering with the PFA continues Oakberry’s commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles and sponsorship of sports and fitness events at the local, state, and worldwide levels. Oakberry sponsors the World Surf League Australia, the Haas F1 Team, Surf Life Saving NSW, and the Noosa Triathlon.

Oakberry’s authentic Brazilian açaí super-food, a favourite of PFA members, will be served to guests attending the 2023 Oakberry Players’ Awards, the PFA’s gala night to be held on Monday 17 July 2023 in Sydney.

Oakberry Australia CEO, Renan Fretes, said: “At Oakberry, we are passionate about promoting healthy and active lifestyles, and our partnership with the PFA is a reflection of that. Connecting with sports and local communities is at the heart of what we do. Our values of authenticity, community, health, and excellence guide us in everything we do, and we are proud to partner with the PFA.”

Two giants of Australian football will receive the PFA’s highest individual honour at the 2023 Oakberry Players’ Awards, the Alex Tobin OAM Medal, while the organisation will acknowledge the outstanding achievements of PFA members on and off the pitch.

PFA Co-Chief Executive Kathryn Gill said: “Oakberry has been a regular favourite of the players during our A-Leagues club visits, is an organisation which promotes an active lifestyle and healthy eating and is a huge partner of local and global sport. We’re excited to share their range of açaí bowls with our guests as we celebrate Australia’s best professional players, and those who have made an immeasurable impact on the PFA.”
