The PFA is pleased to welcome Zeljko Susa to the PFA team on a temporary basis over the coming weeks.

Zeljko will be completing the practical component of his Bachelor of Commerce Degree, majoring in Sports Management and Marketing, at the PFA. He will be working closely with all members of staff and will gain first hand experience in the running of a sport related organisation.

Zeljko began his foray into elite level sport when he accepted a football scholarship at the A.I.S. He was involved in the now defunct N.S.L, playing for both the Melbourne Knights and South Melbourne. He also had a stint with Hadjuk Split in Croatia. During his career he also represented both the Australian Olympic Team and the Socceroos.

On medical advice, Zeljko prematurely retired from football at the age of 26 due to ongoing knee problems. Fortunately, Zeljko has been able to focus and successfully manage the transition to life after football. His predicament highlights the precarious nature of a career in football and the need to plan for life afterwards. The PFA is pleased to be able to play a role and support Zeljko in his endeavours.
