Professional Footballers Australia’s (PFA) Melbourne Victory members have thrown their support behind the 2016 Good Friday Appeal by launching the Victory for the Kids campaign.

Aimed at raising money for the Royal Children’s Hospital  (RCH) the Victory players paid a visit to the RCH last week and will attend the Kids Day Out event on Good Friday at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

For Goalkeeper Danny Vukovic the fundraising appeal has taken on extra significance. His Eight-month-old son Harley has biliary atresia, a condition which blocks bile ducts and causes liver damage. Harley needs a new liver but won’t receive one until his condition has deteriorated so much that this organ donation gift will truly be life saving.

“I have seen first hand the truly remarkable and world class work that is undertaken at the Royal Children’s Hospital and I know how important this fundraising initiative is to ensuring that this continues,” said Vukovic.
