The PFA, through collective and industrial representation, has the ambition to ensure football becomes Australia’s sporting career of choice and its safest and most universal sport for men and women. At the heart of the PFA’s work are the players, who through representative positions on the Executive Committee, or as club delegates, help to advance and protect the players’ interests, conditions and welfare and actively resolve issues on their behalf.

Collective Bargaining

Collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) provide the framework within which the players, the clubs, and the national teams operate. They include the minimum terms and conditions of players’ employment.

Legal Representation & Advice

Professional football careers can be complex. The PFA’s legal team aims to make dealing with contracts, paperwork, and agents easier. We can also help with a wide range of dispute resolution processes.

Agents

Agents play a central role in the development of players and in helping support players throughout their careers. The PFA works with football agents to advance football in Australia and provide the best working environment for players.

Social Media

Social media provides a great platform for players to connect, engage and promote. Unfortunately players are regularly exposed to online abuse on social media. The PFA aims to support and protect players online through a number of initiatives.
