Perth Glory’s Adam Taggart has been voted by his peers as the Austraffic PFA Player of the Month for April, capping off a brilliant season that saw him claim his second A-League Men Golden Boot.

Taggart’s form was recognised by his peers, receiving the most votes out of the five A-League Men players in contention for the award.

In a disappointing year for Perth, Taggart was a bright spark, scoring 20 goals to finish ahead of Melbourne Victory’s Bruno Fornaroli and Newcastle Jets’ Apostolos Stamatelopoulos to claim the top scoring honours.

Taggart scored five goals in April, including braces against Adelaide United and Western United to round out one of his best seasons to date.

The last time Taggart won the Golden Boot was in the 2013-14 season with Newcastle, which earned him a place in the Socceroos’ 2014 FIFA World Cup squad and a move abroad to Fulham.

The striker is the final Player of the Month recipient for the 2023-24 season. Below is the full list of A-Leagues players who received a nomination this season.
